* The Fire Island Lighthouse (seen above) has been a beacon for Long Islanders for a century and half.  The 168-foot-tall landmark celebrated its big 150th Anniversary in 2008.

Program will include the story of the restoration of the Town of Babylon's historic Town Hall of 1917-1960 and its development as a historical museum. The session will include a narrated tour of the restored  facility. Presenters for the host  municipality will be Thomas Smith, Historian of the Town of Babylon, and Mary Cascone, of the Town's Office of Historic Services.
