Fall 2015 Regional Meeting summaries

Here is some information about regional meetings held in the Fall of 2015.

 

Region 3 – Saturday, October 24, 2015, 9:15 AM to 2 PM at the Josephine-Louise Public Library, Walden, NY. There is no fee for this meeting, but contact Suzanne Isaksen, the APHNYS Region 3 Coordinator at 845-641-0463, or e-mail at sisaksen@earthlink.net, with your name and contact information if you plan to attend. Region 4 meeting was held on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 10 am at the Parsonage House, Town of Germantown. Here’s the audience at the morning session, where we shared ideas concerning cemeteries. Particpants got a tour of the Parsonage House after the program, thanks to Germantown Historian Susan Raab.

Region 7 – Friday, October 2, 2015 at the Fulton County Court House in Johnstown.

Region 8 – Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the Seaway Trail Discovery Center, also known as the historic Union Hotel, at 401 West Main Street in Sackets Harbor, NY from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. This will be followed by a complimentary tour of the Sackets Harbor Battlefield State Historic Site, including the Commandant’s House at 2:15 pm. The meeting registration of $10.00 includes a buffet lunch that must be paid in advance. Checks are to be made out to APHNYS, and can be mailed to the treasurer at the following address: APHNYS, P.O. Box 2985, Setauket, NY 11733. This fee helps to cover the cost of the program. Region 9 – Saturday October 3rd from 9 to 1 at the Chittenango Landing Canal Boat Museum.

Region 11 – Saturday, October 17, meeting to be held at the Women’s Rights National Park in Seneca Falls. Keynote speaker is Dr. Judith Wellman.
